Synopsis:
The movie revolves around Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), a police officer from London, who gets promoted and transferred to a calm and sleepy country village called Sandford. He gets partnered up with Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) and soon they become close buddies while 'accidental' deaths mysteriously start to occur.

Hot fuzz has many references related to other movies such as; 'Dead Right', Egdar Wright's amateur film which he has used some of the elements from there to Hot Fuzz. Some of the elements were the locations like the Somerfield supermarket.

A DVD copy of 'Shaun of the Dead' can be seen in one of the scenes filmed in the Somerfield supermarket when Angel was near the shoplifter.

Also, a scene from 'Shaun of the Dead' is seen in Hot fuzz which was when Nicholas was chasing the shoplifter and wanted to take a shortcut by jumping over three fences but with slight differences.
